  • Since I came back into playing in brass bands in 2015, I have tested a number of mouthpieces and finally found the RM1A which has improved my quiet playing, my overall sound and more than anything my stamina. It’s a lovely comfortable mouthpiece, the higher register playing is good. The larger size cup really works for me, Highly recommended

I have played on a Denis Wick 4 for many years and as I have got slightly older I started to struggle a bit with register and some articulation. I contacted Richard and asked his opinion on which Alliance (Richard Marshall) cornet mouthpiece I should try.
He suggested the RM3 which I have now been using for 7 months and I am delighted with the results (mouthpieece and hard practice!!).
Articulation is clearer and my range has not diminished but I feel at the top end it is less strained and very pleasingly, I feel my tone has improved.

    Thank you Richard Marshall!!!
